The astral realm was unlike any other place in the multiverse. It was placed in the universe by beings who even came before the gods acting as a prison for godlike beings and monsters. The sky was always purple and there was no difference between day and night. The clouds resembled gray floating smoke that would produce a powder-like substance that looked like ash every day. The realm had mountains that had no peak because they couldn't be seen. You could hear the roars, growls, snarls of monsters some could fly others could crawl, and slither depending on which monster you encounter.
These monsters were put here by gods being called abominations, like giant bat creatures that could suck on human souls, the half-human race, and the experimented on elves.
