The room when turned silent after Victor's surprising statement. No one had words for him after that. From the very start, the only person who trusted him in this room entirely was Jack because of the friendship they had developed over the past few days. They had a lot of similarities since they were both powerful men with considerable shoes to fill since their fathers expected a lot from them.
"I say we can trust him." Jack broke the silence, "Victor is on our side for sure. He can't betray us." He continued.
Alex sighed, finally taking her seat after feeling overwhelmed by the amount of magical energy she had just used on the grimoire. She couldn't tell anyone because being here meant that everyone was ready to play their part in any way they could.
"Then I trust my brother's judgment. He's a mind reader so he can't be lying," she said, putting both arms on the table. "And Victor has helped us up to now, the least we can do is trust him."
