Jack opened his eyes to the sound of a train whistle after it was sounded in the background, his memory had gone blank for a moment, and for some reason, his head felt like it had been smacked by a heavy object. Everything around him looked so unfamiliar apart from Alex who was resting on his shoulder, she looked asleep or maybe unconscious from the ride into their father's mind. He guessed this was what August meant when he said it was going to be a bumpy ride, that it would drain a lot of their magical energy from just going this far into dad's mind. He felt a lot weaker than usual and at this point, he could be called human because he felt not even a single ounce of his elf strength remaining in his body.
He was completely powerless at the moment.
