Seeing the Shrike in action, Lorn was extremely satisfied with his new catch. The ability to put someone to sleep was simply too good. As long as they weren't hunting in B-rank Divine Trials, Lorn didn't see any way they could fail.
'Wait… would its Force Sleep be able to overcome Elan's protective relic?'
Lorn didn't understand it fully, but if it could put peak B-ranks to sleep, then maybe it could overcome the protections granted by relics as well.
If that was the case, then Lorn didn't even need to worry about his fight for Rank 1.
He asked Lucas on the feasibility of his thoughts and received a half-positive response.
"His relic should prevent him from outright sleeping," Lucas said, "but he's definitely going to feel its effects."
"Shouldn't the Shrike's understanding of laws overcome it completely?"
