As Lorn and Yara relaxed on the taxi's rear, the driver asked.
"Uh, where you dropping?"
"Where you picked me up," Lorn sighed.
"Okay," the driver nodded. "And about that before. You tryna catch her midair, it never works. Saw a documentary on it and they say that even if someone's jumping off a chair, any guy would struggle to catch'em properly."
Lorn and Yara chuckled. They both realized the driver was trying to act as a wingman for Lorn.
"Yeah, I think she just wanted to use me as a budget trampoline. A shitty one that can only bounce her off sideways, but I guess it did the trick," Lorn laughed. "Also, you okay? Hit anything weird?"
"I think I'm fine," Yara said, feeling her ribs and turning her shoulder. "Nothing feels broken, but it does hurt like hell."
"Head feeling dizzy or anything?"
"No."
"Alright. But shit, your dad's fucking scary."
"Tell me about it," Yara groaned.
