Lorn still couldn't put the matter out of his head. He thought his life was exciting. Clearly, he was still blind to the world.
"Before all that," his mother spoke. "What was that about getting into debt and becoming homeless?"
"Ah, that," Lorn chuckled. "Well, where should I start? …I guess I got a bit too cocky when I first went out into the real world."
He explained briefly what happened to him during the past half a decade. Yun listened with interest and exasperation, while Leshwi listened with worry and some tears. Min came in at some point and she listened with a bored, dismissive expression.
Lorn was glad he could talk about these things with a light heart now.
"Well, I'm doing much better now," he shrugged in the end.
"I'm glad."
"I used to think it unfair that you two get to go and have fun while I was stuck at home, but after meeting you two, I don't really feel that way."
