When Lorn's consciousness came back, he found himself inside his dream.
After a few seconds of dizziness, he got his bearings. With how often these things happened, Lorn was quickly getting used to his dream world.
The Dream Shrike floated silently before him.
"I get it, I get it…" he sighed. "It's pointless to try and kill you, I know. Don't have to remind me every day."
Lorn thought it would ignore him and start talking, but it said nothing.
'What does it want?' he wondered. 'Well, whatever.'
He grabbed hold of his soul and tried to do the same things he did in reality. The success rate was still low, but it was a big step up from when Lorn couldn't even feel his soul. He was sure that after another week of training, he could possess his original strength in the dream world. After that, he was just going to become more and more powerful.
