In Estel's room, Seven's face was dyed in purple out of anxiousness.
"Estel... She's a heavenly beast, right?"
"Yes! Definitely!"
"But... Is that really necessary? She's still my pet, you know. You don't have to be that scared."
On the bed was the blonde elf and what is identified to be the Heavenly Beast, Two.
Estel was trying to feed her a medicinal herb that elves take as snacks in the forest. It looked like an ordinary green leaf in the shape of an oval but it tastes something similar to orange flavored candy when it enters the mouth which then provides numerous vitamins in the body when ingested.
But the way Estel did it made Seven just question if her pet was actually great, scary or hopefully not violent.
"H-Here... It's yummy, please eat it."
Estel stretched out her hand holding the snack close enough for Two to bite.
Chomp!
But everytime she tried, Estel would always pull back her hand making Two bite nothing but air. She was too scared to get bitten by accident since she's never dealt with this kind of creature before. For all they know, a Heavenly Beast puppy's bite must pack quite a punch.
If Estel loses a hand by accident she'll have to wait for a year to completely reattach it.
Chomp!
Chomp!
Chomp!
'This is hopeless.' Seven thought to herself while watching Two starting to get irritated and ignoring the food being offered by Estel. At this rate she might even get bitten anytime soon without a clue.
"Uh, Estel..? I'll just feed them to her myself so can we talk for a bit instead?"
"Ah... Sure..."
After switching positions with Estel who might've lost her hand anytime soon, Seven began to speak as she delicately fed Two with leaves herself.
"You want to come with me in traveling the continent, right?"
"You're traveling the continent?"
Seven nodded.
Estel was a little surprised. It didn't seem like she knew about this yet, at first she thought Seven had a clear destination in mind when she met her.
Seven on the other hand only wanted to get away from her pursuers in the Star Continent as far as possible and settle somewhere once she feels at ease.
"That sounds like something fun. I'll ask for my parents' permission later."
"That great!"
Seven looked gleeful. Not only would she get a healer companion, but someone who can appease her loneliness in her travel.
And most importantly, someone who can give her Affection Points anytime and anywhere!
But it all depends in Estel if she's allowed to travel with Seven in the first place since parents also exist.
They'll surely agree, yep. Everything always goes to Seven's expectations!
Or atleast that's what she initially thought.
"I'm sorry but I'll have to refuse. You can't go, my beloved daughter."
Seven couldn't believe at what Estel's father replied to her daughter's request.
Half an hour after their little discussion, Estel asked her parents straight away.
"Not only are you the eldest daughter of the village chief, you're also the head medic of our small military force."
'She was from the military!?'
"Your father is right, daughter. Plus, I wouldn't want to burden our hero in taking care of you."
This time it was her mother, Khloie who spoke with some concern in her eyes. Just what is worth taking care of with this girl?
Seven started to worry too.
"But I want to explore the world. And if I'm with someone as strong as Seven theres no way anyone can harm me, right?"
"Hmm, you're right. She did defeat the Dark General by herself after all."
'No I didn't! It was some random guy who looked like me that appeared out of nowhere!'
Seven felt guilty she took someone else's credit without meaning to. But she did distract Nemisis, so it shouldn't be too much of a lie.
"That does make some sense... The vice-head can just take care of your position while you're gone. But is young miss going to be okay with this?"
Suddenly, everyone started looking at Seven. Even Estel's younger siblings who understood a bit about the topic joined along.
"Ah... I-I'm okay with this."
But still! She couldn't pass down this opportunity! She needs someone like Estel in her team, there's no way she'll travel alone. Although she doesn't feel scared being alone because of One and especially her new pet Two, she still wanted someone who she can actually talk to and have a human conversation with.
"Then I guess it's decided!"
Estel happily declared.
"But Estel, can you come back here after three months?" Estel's father spoke.
"Wh-What?"
"You have to return here and spend a week with us atleast. We have to make sure our daughter is okay."
It may sound like they just wanted some timely updates from their daughter, but in actuality they just don't want to be separated from her for too long.
Estel already knew this from the moment she heard the extra one week so she instantly knew what she has to reply.
"Alright."
Estel smiled and so did her parents.
Seven noticed her pointed ears flutter a little. Seeing this made her want to nibble on them for some reason so she made sure to get rid of the feeling as soon as possible before she does anything that would ruin the mood.
'I hate my mind.'
The next day was the day they agreed to leave so Estel prepared some of her belongings before their departure.
"M-Mom, why are you suited up too?"
"What do you mean? Ofcourse I'm coming with you."
Estel's mother, Khloie was in her traveling suit, she wore a large blue robe with a sling on her left shoulder holding potion vials with varying colors. Her storage ring packed to the brim with sandwiches.
"K-Khloie, you're not going anywhere!"
"Why not? That's my daughter! She'll be gone for three months so I have to protect her!"
"No! We have children here too!"
"You can tell my brother Schien to take care of Anna and Steid while you're at work."
"Schien broke his ankle from the fight yesterday though?!"
Estel looked horrified. It was the first time in her life her mother had become so persistent so she tapped Seven on the back to tell her to go and make a run for it.
Seven who felt her tap, turned around.
Estel's jaw dropped.
Seven's face was obscured with a squirrel's back while a white fox was on her hair. One was covering her entire face with her whole body to the point Seven couldn't even see anything while Two seemed like an oversized wig at this point.
"What is it?"
Seven spoke in a muffled voice which dyed Estel's face in awkwardness.
"..."
"Um, are you still there? Estel?"
Estel watched as Seven began to try taking One off her face and Two off her hair while Jhillia, her father was doing her best trying to restrain her mother from moving.
"Let me go, Jhillia! I'll kill you if anything bad happens to our daughter while I'm away!"
"You'd kill your own husband!?"
Estel who felt shivers run down her spine grabbed the blinded Seven and they both started running away from her mother who started to shoot lethal magic on her own hushand.
"I'm off, mom and dad! Goodbye!"
Estel gave her brief farewells at the top of her lungs while scurrying.
"Daughter! Wait for me! Death to you, Jhillia!"
"St-Stop for god's sake!"
The last image Estel saw of her parents as she departed was her father desperately trying to hold her mother with vines that sprouted from the earth. Even that was ripping apart from wind magic.
Once Estel achieved some distance, she used flight magic while holding Seven's hand.
Seven who detected it, made herself lighter with her own flight magic. Although she didn't master flight magic, she can still atleast use it to stay afloat and all Estel has to do is act as her propellant.
"Seven, where are we going?"
"I don't know exactly. Do you have anywhere in mind?"
Seven felt her hair starting to hurt. Two was pulling on it like crazy. It was her first time in the air so it goes without saying she's scared.
"O-One! Please get on your bag or you'll fall!"
Squeak!
"I don't care if you can survive the fall! Get in the pouch. I can't see!"
One who was on Seven's face after realizing Two was on Seven's hair reluctantly crawled to her casual home which was the small bag on Seven's standard armor equipment. She threw a tantrum inside afterwards.
"Phew, finally I can breath."
"Are you fine, Seven?"
Seven's face was red, clearly she had extreme trouble breathing due to a furry creature glued on her face for more than twenty minutes.
"Yeah, anyway can you let go of me? I can see now."
"Nhn."
Estel let go of Seven's hand and a flying greatsword made of magic the size of a car instantly materialized beneath Seven's feet.
Making a sword this big costed Seven a bit of magic power but not enough for her to think about it too much.
"Estel, come ride me."
"What?"
"Come ride with me."
Maybe Estel just heard it wrong because of the high winds since they were hundreds of feet above ground.
That being said, Estel made a soft landing on the surface of Seven's flying sword. The winds in the sky was harsher than below, it kept pushing her here and there so she'd rather be in a comfortable spot.
"Come closer."
Seven said flirtatiously while patting the available space between her legs.
Estel who only believed Seven wanted some skinship, did as she was told and suffered the consequences.
"Mhm~"
She was being hugged quite passionately from behind. It didn't feel bad, it felt rather good. To her, it felt really good for some reason.
Seven was pressing her chest against her back quite calmly... and confidently.
"Ahhh~ this is the best~"
Estel heard Seven mutter under her breath. She was clearly in cloud nine just from the tone of her voice.
"Hugging someone while being in the sky is a new experience."
That goes to say both of them felt the same. It was a little strange, but anything is possible in a world with magic. Even a squirrel can burn an association down by itself if it wanted to.
Estel touched Seven's hand with hers.
And a second later, she landed a kiss to Seven's lips without a warning which didn't fail to surprise the latter.
"A kiss while flying is a new experience too, right?"
Seven seemed awestruck for a while, but she smiled after recovering.
"Want to have sex!?"
"Wh-Where did that come from!?"
Seven pushed Estel down.
They only teased each other after that. There was no way they'd actually do it when they've only met just the other day.
There's a limit to how much speed should get.
"Anyway, Seven. I'm thinking we should go to the Sun Dragon Empire. It's a five day journey away from here in carriage so three days by flight magic."
"The Sun Dragon Empire, huh... What's it like?"
Seven has to know what place that is exactly, and it has to fit her interest or else she can't live there. In the first place she's travelling to find a place to stay without being caught by the Order Of Justice.
"The people there wear bizarre clothes so it's eye-catching. And not only that, they don't practice magic at all! Instead they focus on martial arts and something called Internal Arts. I'm not really that well informed about their culture so that's all I know, ah, and they worship the God Of War And Bloodlust, Ashura while we elves worship the God Of Magic And Knowledge, Cecillion."
Although Estel said she wasn't that well informed about the matter, she seemed to know everything that Seven wanted to ask about the most.
Most of all, worshippers of the God Of War are a bunch of battlefreaks who don't even have temples to worship him so it's expectant that she'll encounter some passionate goons in that category sometime in her stay in the Sun Dragon Empire.
"One more thing, are they welcoming outsiders?"
"Not that much really, I heard they only allow people with acceptable strength in their walls."
Seven stared at Estel.
"By that I meant physical strength. I'm a magic caster but I'm sure I'll get in! I did some fighting with hobgoblins using my fists afterall!"
Seven became concerned.
'Should I tell her hobgoblins are as strong as teens in terms of physical power? In my previous world that is.'
But it didn't matter, once they get there Seven can just solve any problem. She was interested in the place anyway. If she's lucky enough, she can even pick up some techniques that don't involve magic but would surely make her stronger.
"Well then, off to the Sun Dragon Empire!"
