Yue Saw Them.
Not the sight humans usually referred to; something different.
It was difficult to explain to someone who had never Seen.
It was similar to how one saw with their eyes, but very much not the same.
Yue couldn't see Them with his eyes because They were on the earth and he was on the moon.
Yue knew They would think it was strange if They knew he was watching them. They would probably also think Yue himself was strange, but that was because They were narrow minded. Not in a bad way, though. Sometimes thinking with one goal in mind was the best way to think.
Sometimes Yue got so distracted he wished he could only think one way. He could get a little distracted when he thought his multiple ways.
They were sweet. Kind. Brave. Beautiful. Selfless. Confident.
But They were also rude, selfish, prideful, and afraid.
The first word Yue thought when he Saw Them was: broken.
And he liked Them that way.
He hated to see Them suffer, of course. But the very fact that They weren't perfect made him love Them more.
He loved Seeing two in particular.
One was a girl.
A girl who pretended to laugh and smile, a girl who acted carefree and happy- but a girl who cried when no one else was looking.
She really didn't have anyone. She was very alone.
The other was a boy.
A boy who was rude and selfish, a boy who was driven and ambitious- but a boy who was always there when someone he loved was in pain.
He really was always there. He was so kind.
Her name was Marisol, and his name was Liam.
Yue loved them. He knew they would be able to See each other, but there was only one problem:
They lived on opposite ends of the world, and Yue would know.
