"Tsk… don't be like that, I'm really hungry but I don't have the appetite to eat at home. How about we go out?"
"I have a meeting with Rex."
"Oh… your son is coming, he still doesn't accept me."
Mackenzie didn't really respond. "He's just busy," he said, rising from his seat.
"Yeah, he's always so busy that he doesn't have time to greet his stepmother."
Mackenzie just smiled faintly before a knock on the door. The butler came, and Rex stepmother noticed the sheet of paper that was brought.
"Here's the boy's data, sir." The butler placed the sheet of paper on the table
"Mm… finished?" Mackenzie asked.
"Yes sir, he will continue his schooling."
After the butler came out, Rex's stepmother approached slowly, suspicious of the girl. "What's that?" he inquired, wanting to know why Mackenzie gave him a scholarship when the girl wasn't very smart, essentially suspicious that Mackenzie was after young leaves.
Elena Rex's stepmother tossed her hair a little, she was still able to serve but it didn't feel like Mackenzie was that bastard who kept the young leaves.
"Unimportant things." Mackenzie tucked the sheet into his drawer. He raised his head again to see Elena, who was still suspicious, looking in Mackenzie's drawer. This room that no one else was allowed to touch except his late first wife.

Biyan's mother is in her room with Biyan, the two are still arguing about the cost of living in college. The two of them stopped talking when there was a knock on the bedroom door, a maid entered.
"The great master is calling for you," he said in the doorway.
Biyan's mother nodded at her partner for a moment then turned back to Biyan.
"Wait a minute, we'll continue later." Biyan's mother was about to walk.
"No, it's not you but your daughter that you want."
Biyan and his mother looked at each other.
"I?" Biyan is the most confused about what to do when they meet later.
"Go, don't let the big master wait a long time, and pay attention to your words!" Biyan's mother ordered. Even though Biyan's mother is not highly educated, she always teaches politeness to her sons and daughters.
***
Biyan was still standing slightly bowed in front of Mackenzie waiting for the President to invite him to sit down otherwise, Biyan would remain standing.
For a moment Mackenzie watched the girl how her son could be attracted to a young woman when all adult women were attracted to him and even adore him. Mackenzie often meets business partners who say their daughter is interested in Rex and wants to strengthen the business by uniting the two heirs. Let's not forget which of the women that Rex had proposed was with Mackenzie's permission.
"Sit down!" Mackenzie ordered, still sitting behind his desk.
Biyan briefly nodded and then sat on the guest sofa, on the table there was already a cup of tea.
"That tea is for you," Mackenzie said again.
Biyan nodded again, reaching for the tea.
Mackenzie stepped towards the guest sofa where Biyan was, it felt like every step of the middle-aged man brought pressure on Biyan. Biyan could feel the emotions carried away, his mother should have refused the help. It seemed impossible for someone like Mackenzie to help out so easily.
"You're Elis' daughter?" Mackenzie asked as soon as he sat down.
"Yes, sir. Thanks for the help, sir. But someone like me doesn't deserve it, I'm sure there are many other girls who deserve the scholarship."
"It's not good to conclude like that, you don't want to be like other girls, can go to school, graduate well and then pursue a career? While other girls are chasing their dreams and then you are in a kitchen with a small room and washing dishes. Don't be too naive to sacrifice good things for the sake of pride," said Mackenzie not looking at Biyan or sneering from his gaze but from the words that stabbed like a sword.
A girl like Biyan doesn't have a price for life, there is only a choice for a better future.
"If you put in more effort, the school has scholarships for Harvard all the majors you could want even a degree if you can afford it."
Biyan did not blink hearing that, his mouth slightly opened in amazement at what this host had. Biyan knew that the owner of the house was a successful businessman, but he did not expect the company to be so generous with others.
"Harvard University?" said Bian slowly.
Mackenzie nodded with a smile. "It's not just the value that is a requirement, there are things beyond that that must be met," said Mackenzie, starting to make choices but not in essence.
Mackenzie would take Biyan away from his son in subtle ways, give him lofty dreams to reach and Mackenzie would be the ladder.
"As a parent, your mother would want her child's dreams to be fulfilled and I also have a son whose dreams I must keep." Once again Mackenzie looked at Biyan. "I have more money to make every child's dream come true."
In the end, Biyan could only stay silent, it was impossible to refuse when his mother was so expecting him to continue his education.
"You can go out, live well so that your mother is proud and happy that she doesn't fail at being a parent."
Biyan looked down briefly and then walked out of the room. Just as he closed the door his cell phone rang, Yona called from the other side.
"Bii, take a vacation with me!"
Biyan stepped out of the house with the phone to his ear. "I have to do a side job to buy college equipment."
Yona on the other side opened her mouth. "You're in college?"
"Mm… I agree to the scholarship."
"Gosh… good, we can get back together. We can buy all your needs at the vacation spot, come on this is our last teenage years before we finally become real adults. I can't wait to wear normal school clothes with low cleavage.
Oohh… gosh… I'm tired of the tight uniform that covers my entire body." lYona laughed out loud she was in her apartment packing the clothes to be brought.
Biyan arrived at the gate. Rex's car just stopped. "Uncle." Biyan pointed at it.
"Don't call me uncle, Rex!" Rex was also surprised that he didn't expect to meet Biyan in front of the gate, didn't she usually go through the side door?
"You live around here too?" Biyan asked with the cell phone still attached to his ear.
"Who's Bii?" Yona asked from the other side, still listening to Biyan's conversation.
"Yeah, I live around here. Is this your house?" asked Rex pointing to the mansion like a palace.
"Aahh… mm…" Biyan was confused about what to say. "No."
"Isn't it? Then, you become a rich man's mistress?" asked Rex even more teasingly. With a hand that keeps pointing at his own house.
"No… that's not what it meant." Biyan waved both hands rejecting Rex's assumption.
Rex folded his arms by leaning against the car body. "Then? A house as luxurious as this? And I just saw you come out of it?"
"Yeah, I live here. But it's not what you think." Biyan looks around. "There are lots of cameras here, you better go now."
Rex even opened his car door. "Then come with me, you still have an unfinished explanation."
"Biyan, I'll be waiting at the cafe." Yona's call ends.
Biyan looks at his cell phone. "I can't go, my friend took me on a vacation. Excuse me, Sir. Have a nice day."
After slightly nodding Biyan left Rex with the man's gaze that continued to see Biyan's back away.
