Chapter 7 - Attractive Woman

Slowly Biyan finally approached. "Is there anything you need, sir?" the girl asked cautiously.

"Where are you going after this?" Rex even asked back. The man had lost his mind when all the grown women wanted to be his bed partner and Rex was attracted to teenagers, oohh… my God could it be that Rex had a disorder?

"Me? Mmm..." Biyan pointed at himself in confusion. "I work part-time at a Korean food restaurant," she said doubtfully.

"Where's your cell phone?" Rex asked holding out his hand.

"I don't know you, Uncle," Biyan wouldn't give him the phone she was holding.

"You'll know me soon. Where's your cell phone." Rex immediately took it from Biyan's hand, then typed the number and pressed the call button. After confirming that Biyan's number was entered into Rex's cellphone, the man returned Biyan's cellphone.

"What are you doing? This is called stealing!"  Biyan glared with bright round eyes.

"Thieves? You stole, Baby," said Rex immediately leaving Biyan. All this because Job forced him. He had to attend the meeting when Rex still wanted to enjoy the view when Biyan cleared the table or when she smiled at the customers who came.

His private jet was ready long ago to take Rex to Manhattan for his business expansion. But as soon as possible Rex would finish the job and come back.

"This is the meeting agenda, sir." Just as Rex feet got out of the car, he was greeted by an assistant who handed him a neatly arranged sheet of paperwork. Ready for Rex to read if they don't fit everything will be fixed on board the plane carrying them.

"What about the task I gave you?"

"Ready sir." Nolan gave Biyan biodata sheet to Rex. He looked it closely until the plane took off.

"That woman has a useless brother" said Rex.

Javier, who closed his eyes with the blindfold ready to sleep, straightened up again. "Which woman? I don't think you've introduced me to any women lately?"

Javier spoke again with his arms crossed over his chest. "A powerful figure like you can get whatever you want, your reputation as a successful young entrepreneur has spread throughout the country. At the age of 20, you already have a property company and luck is always on your side as if your cold hand made all of this a success," said Javier.

"Then what are you looking for again?" he asked again looking at Rex.

Rex didn't know where this conversation was going, "why?"

Javier scoffed. "Oh my gosh! You're asking back instead. What's your problem, Rex?"

"Nothing," Rex leaned back in the chair.

"Oh, really? Forget it!" Javier didn't want to make the lion angry. But his mouth was itching to say again. "By the way, you like a lot on your mind?"

"Yes, the meeting this afternoon and today's work are quite tiring. I want to refresh for a moment enjoying the view in the afternoon."

Javier's eyebrows rose, Rex usually didn't suppose like that. "Mmm… I can't understand what you mean but, are you wishing you were having an afternoon with a girl?"

Damn, Javier's guess was right. Both of them were silent. As Rex closed his eyes, the girl's face reappeared, Rex scooped up his face as if he was being haunted by the feel.

"How old am I now?" Rex asked.

Javier, who heard that, was even more surprised, "You're asking me? Well, 40 years if I don't miscalculate. You were already working when you picked me up from college."

Rex was silent when he was no longer young, Biyan deserved to call him uncle.

"Do I look old?" he asked again as if this man was in need of moral support.

"From the outside, no one will ever know you're old," Rex rolled his eyes. "But you're handsome, no woman can deny that," Javier flattered again.

It seems that his best friend is starting to experience mental decline usually, Rex is a man whose confidence level is 101 percent about his charm which is recognized by a row of women from various circles who have warmed the bed with him.

It was even reported that he had dated one of the princesses of the British empire and the relationship was hidden.

Javier knew how the princess was crazy about Rex.

"Before those women change their minds, you better find your partner soon. They are very sexy, beautiful, and sweet what else are you looking for? That English princess too, you won't regret living with her."

Rex didn't like to talk about that woman or anything else. "If you want, you just approach!" he said still closing his eyes.

"I want but those who don't want me,"

Rex smiled faintly. Smiling is something that is rarely done. "Are you smiling? You seem to be in a very good mood today?"

"Shut up! I want to sleep, I don't want to have eye bags, so I don't look older."

Biyan fell asleep at her study table with a task book that she had just finished working on. It was late at night but Biyan had just returned home and started studying.

Biyan's mother who saw her daughter so exhausted felt sad. She felt that she had failed as a mother to her two children. Biyan's mother took a fallen sheet of paper. It turned out to be a statement letter from the school.

The letter said which university Biyan would go to. However, the Column is empty. Biyan's mother covered her mouth sadly. Then she reads the next question, which is after graduating from school, what will you do? Biyan replied 'looking for a job'

Biyan's mother feels sad. Until now she didn't have any money for university entrance fees. All of Biyan's school equipment was arranged, then the mother slowly led the girl to lie down on her small bed.

Riyu is now working as an employee at a cafe. Two hours ago Riyu saw a woman sitting glumly in the cafe where she worked, it was clear that she had just had her heart broken. Seen from the makeup and cake that was brought, the woman had just attended her boyfriend's birthday but might have found his lover with another woman.

With the brown apron that Riyu was wearing, he approached the woman. "Is there anything you'd like to order?" asked Riyu preparing to take down the woman's order.

The woman heard the question, she seemed to be puckering her head into her elbows, but the woman remained silent with her hands crossed on the table. Riyu could see the woman was cold because the dress wasn't thick enough while the snow had started to fall.

"At least you can order a drink. Sitting here for two hours must be pretty tiring."

Finally, the woman looked up. Riyu gave a friendly smile typical of a cafe waitress to greet her. Riyu wouldn't mind waiting for her to think all night before deciding what to order, but unfortunately, Riyu wasn't the owner of the cafe.

This woman must be coming for the first time, her face is foreign to Riyu. Maybe when she was heartbroken, this woman walked far in the wrong direction with her high sandals causing her feet to blister. Boss Riyu is still monitoring the situation. Riyu pretended to take notes and then left the strange woman.

The woman saw Riyu's back leave. "Even the cafe staff won't linger with me." She prefers to bury her head in her hands again or if she can sink to the bottom of the earth.

The girl had just seen her boyfriend kissing another woman when she brought him a cake and dressed up just to surprise him on his birthday. But, in fact, she was surprised to see the scene of his own lover.

Right now she just wanted to be quiet.

In the middle of the woman's daydream, a cup of tea was suddenly served in front of her. Before the woman had time to ask who it belonged to, suddenly her cell phone vibrated again, with a call from her lover.

Oh, ex-lover.

Seeing her lover's name on her cellphone made her sick. She squeezed the phone and put it to her ear.

"Regina, Regina... Gosh. You finally answered my phone. Listen! What you saw just now wasn't the real thing. It was all a mistake."

Regina squeezed her hands on the table. Trying hard not to cry. "You kissed her, damn it. You hugged her. You...!"

"I'll explain, honey. Where are you now? I'll come to pick you up. We'll talk this over together and sort it out. As we always do."

Regina felt her heart hurt even more at the sound of her ex-lover's voice. No words can come out. There's also nothing more to talk about. Regina ignored the pleas there, then turned off her cell phone.

Her heart felt colder, as well as her feet and palms. With trembling hands, Regina grabbed the cup in front of her and took a sip of tea greedily.

Regina dropped her head on the table. She wanted to cry. Just once. So that her heart melted through tears. But how hard she tried the result was in vain.

Still, with the phone face down, Regina cursed. Her hands were clenched into fists. She was tired from all day preparing a birthday surprise for her boyfriend. Slowly but surely she began to close her eyes.

She could still hear voices in the cafe. The door opened and then closed again. Soft touching glasses rang. Until the sound of the chair across from her desk shifting, Regina had actually fallen asleep.

At least Regina didn't feel so cold anymore.
