Unable to skate at the place where she used to in the past, Audrey felt quite regretful and thus settled for skating on this wild lake instead.
"Back then I was so clumsy, couldn't skate or glide at all, I could only cling to my dad's thighs, or perch on his shoulders, becoming the butt of the joke for many onlookers. So I was determined to learn how to skate, thinking that I'd come back here the following year to show everyone that I actually could skate. Sadly, I didn't make it back to Lake City the next year. Even more regrettable is that this year I won't run into them either, because they're definitely off skiing, and there's no way they'd know I can skate now."
As the little girl chattered away, Clive helped her tie her shoelaces and said, "Alright. Don't feel regretful, watching you skate is just the same for us."
"You've changed into ice skates too, join me."
Clive said, "No, you go ahead."
