Old Mr. Spencer now had Eli for everything he needed—who could blame him when Eli looked just like her. Sir Spencer gave his wife an exasperated look without saying a word, then went on to greet Gem alone. After exchanging pleasantries with Gem and Forsythia, the old gentleman reached out to hold little Beast and said, "Come here, my dear, let your great-grandfather hold you for a while."
The title "great-grandfather" was too long and complicated, so little Beast scrunched up his small eyebrows, not knowing which character to pick to call out.
"Hey, my dear, don't you want your great-grandfather to hold you?" While speaking, Sir Spencer reached out and gently tickled the little creature's nose.
Little Beast turned his head away and grasped onto Gem's neck, then nestled his head into Gem's collar.
Gem chuckled and said, "Grandpa, little Beast here is as heavy as a small weight; he is worried that your old arms and legs might not be able to carry him due to your age."
