After the meal, Forsythia Brown pushed the letter of intent for the partnership across to Gem Atkinson and said, "Since there are no objections, please, Mr. Atkinson, sign it."
Gem took the letter of intent and said, "In such a hurry?"
"I won't hide it from Mr. Atkinson, our company has already invested a sum of money to start this project."
"So, if I don't sign, your initial investment will all be for nothing?"
"You could say that."
On the carpet, the little creature was crawling about when it reached Gem's feet. Then he shakily stood up, grinning at Gem while making 'PA, PA' sounds, his little hands barely propping himself against Gem's knees, his bright eyes filled with excitement.
Gem lightly supported the little creature, saying, "Darling, you can stand up by yourself now, that's wonderful."
