In the living room, Audrey's gaze was fixed on her book, but her little head was nodding off, clearly sleepy.
Forsythia came down the stairs and saw this, shook her head speechlessly, patted the little creature's head, and Audrey immediately woke up, looking at Forsythia with drowsy eyes.
"Sweetheart, why aren't you sleeping yet?"
"I need to work hard. I want to catch up with Forsythia."
Forsythia removed the book from the little creature's hands and said, "Too much of anything is bad. Your priority now is to sleep. Only when you've slept well can your body grow strong, and only with a strong body will you have the energy to read more books, and only then can you catch up with me. There's no rush for the moment. Come, mommy will hold you while you sleep."
On hearing that, Audrey climbed into Forsythia's arms.
Forsythia's embrace was soft and sweet, and after snuggling a bit, Audrey soon fell into a deep sleep.
