School infirmary.
The school doctor was treating Ned's wound when he said, "How could you be so careless? A bit more force, and you could've bitten your tongue off. What kind of parents are you?"
At this, Jane Hancock cried even harder.
"Come on, stop crying," Tyler Mamet said irritably.
"I'm crying because my heart aches for my son, why can't I cry? Not like you, heartless and with no care for us, your wife and son. Taking sides with others. You, are you still hung up on your little sister-student?"
"Jane Hancock."
Tyler Mamet became angry and grabbed her arm.
Startled, Jane's arm was hurt by his grasp, and though she tried to wrestle free, she couldn't. Panicked, she yelled, "Let go of me, Tyler Mamet, let me go."
"Jane Hancock, just how long are you going to be unreasonable? Aren't you ashamed of yourself?"
