Today is the day Audrey returns from her study tour and summer camp.
Gem Atkinson and Forsythia Brown had been waiting early for Audrey's arrival. Ever since the court hearing, Eleanor Spencer Atkinson had barely left the house, only imploring Gem to bring Audrey to Atkinson Manor for a few days after picking her up.
As the flight landed, Gem and Forsythia eagerly looked towards the VIP exit.
Soon, a teacher emerged holding a flag, followed by seven or eight students. Among the group of students, Clive stood out for his height. Audrey also stood out for being the shortest and smallest amongst them. Due to her small stature, she was at the rear of the group, struggling to pull along a small suitcase.
"Father Atkinson, Mother Brown," Clive greeted with a mild smile.
Gem gave Clive a light punch, asking, "Did you slack off these past couple of months?"
"I followed Father Atkinson's instructions and practiced every day. I didn't dare slack off."
