Audrey snorted coldly and took the lollipop. She didn't unwrap it, just kept flipping it and staring at it.
Gem then sat down next to Audrey, worried that the chair might be too cold for her, so he picked her up and placed her on his lap. Along the way, he brushed off much of the snow that had accumulated on her cape.
Seeing that his little treasure was just playing with the lollipop, Gem asked, "Aren't you going to eat it?"

Gem was overjoyed that his little treasure finally wanted to talk to him. He asked, "Why save it? Daddy will buy you as many as you want later."
