Everyone's faces turned pale.
Gem Atkinson, trembling slightly, tightly gripped Forsythia Brown's hand.
Forsythia then said with a grin: "Am I a disaster?"
"Huh?"
"Disasters live for a thousand years. Look, God let me live."
Her words, laced with self-deprecation and playfulness, dissolved the tense atmosphere. Gem lightly flicked her forehead in response.
Forsythia's leg injury was indeed severe. Gem initially planned to send her directly back to River State via helicopter for emergency treatment. Unfortunately, due to the thunderstorm, the helicopter couldn't take off. Driving back to River State would take more than ten hours, which would further delay Forsythia's treatment.
Fortunately, the road from Phoenix Primary School to Parasol Town had been cleared, and it only took two hours for Forsythia to be rushed to the health clinic in Parasol Town.
