Gem Atkinson stammered and shook his head, saying, "No, I didn't ask." Then, after thinking for a moment, he added, "Her last name should be Hawkins."
"Hawkins?" Josh Levs frowned slightly and thought for a moment. "There is no Hawkins family in River State. There is one in Lake City, though, a prominent family. Could she be from there?"
"I'll find out when I take her home later," Gem said.
As the three of them were guessing Audrey's background, Norton Jarvis had happily agreed to the young girl's suggestion, saying, "Alright, I'll help you. Whether I can get her or not depends on my effort." He had always been an expert at winning women's hearts, so it wasn't impossible for him to successfully pursue the little creature's mother.
