Clive hadn't left. He stood there with his arms crossed, leaning against the wall, waiting for the video call to ring again.
"Clive, is it really going to be five minutes?" Audrey asked, somewhat eager and excited.
Clive glanced at the clock on the wall in the distance, the corners of his lips slightly raised, and said, "An adult's patience lasts for about that long."
Audrey was skeptical, but she still chose to believe Clive.
Five minutes later, the video doorbell rang as expected. Audrey's eyes widened in surprise, and she gave Clive a thumbs-up.
Clive chuckled and lowered the thumb that was shaking in front of him. After the video call rang about four times, he answered it.
