A coffee shop near the hospital.
Forsythia Brown and Ave Carlisle were leisurely sipping their coffee.
"Oh, right, your clothes and your cellphone." As she spoke, Ave handed a package to Forsythia.
She had washed and dried Forsythia's clothes, and the cellphone was found in her clothes. It was soaked when she found it, but she tried to dry it out. Although it was almost dry, she guessed it might not work anymore.
Forsythia took it and said 'thank you'.
"Why are you still using such an outdated phone? Do you want to replace it? I have an extra one; it's a smart one. It's just sitting around anyway, might as well give it to you."
Ave assumed that Forsythia had just gotten out of prison and wasn't well-off.
Forsythia smiled and said, "Thanks, but I still like this one the most. Because this is the only thing my dad and mom left for me."
So it had such an important commemorative significance; Ave felt embarrassed and said, "I'm sorry."
"You were thinking of me."
