Two wolf corpses lay in front of the office building, both dead from head injuries. Clearly, one had been struck by a blunt object, while the other had perished at their feet.
The first floor, three rooms, was quite empty; a quick scan revealed no signs of anyone present.
The stairs had two man-made defensive structures set up. Although the first had been destroyed, it was done so with technical precision, with iron caltrops spread out to prevent any wolves from climbing up.
Obviously, Will and Benjy hadn't landed here.
So they had to go upstairs, as the office building was quite tall. From the rooftop, they could easily spot Mr. Atkinson's bodyguards, certainly better than blindly navigating through the pack of wolves.
"Go up," Gem Atkinson instructed.
At his command, a bodyguard efficiently deployed a climbing tool, fixing it onto the second-floor wall, and swiftly ascended, landing firmly on the second-floor corridor.
"Your turn."
