Gem Atkinson stared at Yigol Foster, the pitch-black pupils in his eyes like smoke over a lake, the layers of clouds mysterious and unpredictable. Finally, he wrote several flamboyant characters on a piece of paper and pushed it in front of Yigol Foster.
After Yigol Foster read it, he nodded in understanding and said, "I see."
Gem Atkinson grabbed the piece of paper, and finally burned it to ashes.
Yigol Foster was about to speak when Gem Atkinson's phone rang. Yigol Foster gestured for Gem to answer the call first.
Gem Atkinson saw the words 'Josh Levs' on the screen, and his eyes moved slightly. He slid open the phone and asked, "Any results yet?"
Yigol Foster didn't know what the person on the other end of the phone said, but he saw Gem Atkinson furrow his brow. He rarely saw Gem encounter problems, and he had a feeling that Gem might have hit a snag.
All Gem Atkinson said was, "Alright, I'll be back shortly."
