"Alright!"
Gem Atkinson took the eternal lamp and followed the little monk to the grandmaster's grave, while Forsythia led Audrey and Clive to tour other halls of the temple.
About an hour later, Gem and Forsythia regrouped. Forsythia noticed Gem's eyes were red—she understood his feelings and gently hugged him, assuring, "It's alright now."
On the way back, Gem decided to take them to the West Suburb Villa.
In the car, Audrey noticed her father's mood wasn't as cheerful as before—he seemed preoccupied. She perched on his lap, blinking her big eyes in an attempt to cheer him up.
Gem did feel sad. He was struggling to let go—not just of the grandmaster but also the eternal lamp.
Over time, the lamp had become a part of his routine.
However, seeing his little darling sprawled on his lap like a ragdoll, his heart softened. He ruffled her hair and asked, "What's up, sweetheart?"
"Daddy, are you upset about the little boys and girls?"
