Josh Levs knew that Gem Atkinson was always domineering, and regardless of how Forsythia Brown's illness, she would always be in the VVIP ward. Even though the situation at hand was very special, he was sure that Atkinson at least wanted to secure a separate room for Forsythia Brown.
There are limited beds in the sanatorium, and many injured victims needing assistance had been brought in. The hallway was now filled with people, and even the doctors' offices were being used for the treatment. Therefore, having a room to oneself was really difficult.
Their own tent was an option, but the conditions in the tent were even worse than the crowded sanatorium.
Forsythia Brown's injuries were indeed severe, and they couldn't rule out the possibility of a massive infection. If she could get back to River State, conditions would be better there, with more resources available and timely rescue efforts.
