The laughter in her eyes arched like two young crescent moons, and Audrey approached and hugged Forsythia's legs.
"Forsythia, it's you!"
Hearing this soft and tender voice, Forsythia's heart melted. She gently wrapped her arms around the young girl's shoulders, saying, "Yes, it's me, baby."
Audrey raised her head, blinked her spirited eyes, and crisply asked, "Are you the one adopting me?"
"Yeah, it's me. Are you happy?" Forsythia rubbed her little head and said, "If you're willing, we can leave right now."
"No! I can't leave now."
"Huh?" came the two responses, one from Forsythia and the other from Teacher Xiao Zhang.
Forsythia wondered if their relationship had indeed become estranged after not meeting for half a year?
Teacher Xiao Zhang, on the other hand, thought that Audrey the troublemaker must be up to something again.
She could see that Mrs. Brown was very well-off, and she seemed to like Audrey very much. It even appeared that Mrs. Brown and Audrey knew each other.
