"Baby, don't cry, Mommy is coming to save you."
"Darling, don't cry, Daddy is coming."
But because of the distance and the floor-to-ceiling windows, no matter how strenuously the parents shouted, the children on the third floor could not hear them. Seeing the trembling children and their frightened gazes, gazes that seemed to be begging for them to save them quickly, some of the parents began to cry, barely restrained by the police's advice, they demanded to go in and rescue their children.
The police officer in charge of the rescue had to both appease the emotional parents who were out of control and call for a negotiator to arrive as soon as possible.
Then, the reporters from the major newspapers, TV stations, and radio stations who received the news rushed to the scene, setting up their long guns and short cannons, all pointing at the third floor.
