Maya had never been on a boat before. Rather than getting seasick as she had vaguely worried about, her eyes were bright as the wind whipped her hair around her head standing by the rail.
"This is amazing!" she yelled so Vincent would be able to hear her through the glass.
He was standing at the helm driving the boat toward the island. They were supposed to be there to meet with the people dropping off all of the stuff they would need to begin clearing the trees in a few hours and he wanted to be sure they wouldn't miss them.
He smiled at her but she couldn't hear what he was trying to say until she walked back inside. "I'm glad you like it. Traveling by boat isn't my favorite but it's a necessary evil."
"Where did you even learn how to drive a boat?" Maya asked curiously.
"Online."
