Chapter 30 - Leaving

Claira looked over at her bedside clock while she stood leaning against her dresser, fumbling to fix her necklace the thin chain had become tangled and while she picked at it hoping it would separate, Claira slammed it down in frustration. It was around 8pm, the cars were almost packed and ready to go, Claira had informed her father she would be leaving soon rather then later and Luca agreed telling her he had full confidence in her to take charge of the whole endeavor. Claira sighed in frustration, not only with her stupid necklace, but with the empty quiet she was getting from the bond between her and Diego. A moment ago, she felt a sudden spike of pain in her chest, but it was gone believing it was Jason but when she found him, he was packing the vans getting them ready for their departure. If it wasn't Jason it had to be Diego, when she tried to reach him through their bond he was blocking her out.
