(Peter: POV)

Exiting the portal I opened I closed it.

I then used my magic to send my suit away, for I had portal'd into an alley close by Midtown.

Where Gwen informed me she, Ned, Harry, and Liz were during our brief phone call.

Running the rest of the way there I arrived in no time.

I then took out my phone and texted Gwen to let her know I was on the scene.

A few moments after I did she rushed to come and get me. Engulfing me in a hug as she arrived.

"Hey, it's alright." I spoke. Gently patting her back. "Everything going to be okay." I told her.

"Right. I just..." Gwen trailed off.

"I get it. Now, why don't you take me to where the hot woman is?" I asked in a joking manner.

Only for Gwen to playfully punch me in the arm as she led me to where Liz was.

Which was a classroom.

Where she stood alone in one of the corners, her entire body aflame. While Ned and Harry eyed her, worried expressions etched on their faces.

"Looks like I missed the start of the party." I said. Drawing everyone attention to me.

"Peter! Oh thank god." Ned said.

"Hey Pete." Harry spoke.

"Hey yourself." I replied. "So, looks like we got a bit of a situation on our hands."

"That's an understatement." Harry mused. "I mean Liz is on fire."

"Sorry. I'm really sorry." Liz muttered.

"Liz, why are you apologizing?" I asked her. "You have powers you cannot control. That's nothing to be ashamed of. Especially since you didn't hurt anybody. And you don't want to."

"But I might!" Liz hurriedly replied. Fear in her voice. "And all because I tried to handle what's happening by myself."

"But that's over with." Gwen spoke up.

"Yeah." I added. "In fact give me a moment. I know just the people to call to help you in this situation." I spoke.

I then took out my phone and dialed Jonathan Storm.

The two of us having exchanged phone numbers the last time I was at the Baxter Building.

Who thankfully answered.

"Hey Peter, what's up?" He asked.

"Johnny I need you, and your sister down at my school, Midtown High, immediately. We have a situation that requires your expertise. You in particular could really help with the situation. Given you have practice turning your fire powers on and off." I explained.

"Understood. We'll be there as soon as we can." Johnny replied in a rare moment of seriousness.

"Thanks." I replied.

I then hung up.

After I did I turned back around to face the others. Only to see Liz, Ned, and Harry standing there with dumb Homer Simpson looks on their faces.

"Peter, did you just call in the Fantastic Four?" Harry asked.

"Yep, I did." I easily replied.

"Holy shit." Liz muttered.

"We get to meet the Fantastic Four." Ned mused. "Does my hair look okay?" He asked.

Leading me to laugh at my friends antics.

------------------

About twenty minutes after I made the phone call Johnny and Susan arrived at the school.

Then after I explained the situation they went right to work on helping Liz get a handle on her powers.

Eventually getting her to power down.

Where after she did Liz was completely naked as the day she was born.

Leading me to remember just how similar her powers were to Johnny in that she could burn off all her clothing if they weren't made of a special material.

Only getting surprised for a second I did the gentlemanly thing and turned around.

Ned, Harry, and Johnny mirroring me.

"My clothes!" Liz shouted.

"Ah, Ms. Allen please remain calm. Any powerful emotions could trigger your powers to activate again. Also this isn't a big thing to worry power. My little brothers powers function in much the same manner." Susan spoke.

"Yeah Liz, it's okay." Gwen said.

"Al...alright." Liz muttered.

"Good, now then put this on if you will." Susan spoke.

After she did we heard the rustling of fabric as Liz put on whatever Susan had just given her.

"Okay boys, you can turn back around." Susan spoke.

Once she said that we men did, finding Liz standing before us in an unstable molecule suit just like the F4 wear.

"Mhm, it's suits you." Harry muttered.

"Thanks, Osborn." Liz replied. "Also you thank Dr. Storm and Mr. Storm."

"Ew, just call me Johnny. Please. I'm only three years older than you guys. Not some old foggie like my old man." Johnny said.

"Alright then, Johnny." Liz spoke.

"Thank you." Johnny said.

"So, what's next?" Liz asked. "I mean, how long do I have to wear this?"

"Until you learn to control your powers properly." Susan spoke. "And if you wish the F4 wouldn't mind helping you with that."

"Really? You would help a...mutant like me?" Liz asked. A slightly fearful expression on her face.

Leading me to audibly groan. Drawing everyone attention to me.

"What's wrong Peter?" Gwen asked.

"Oh nothing. Just the fact I think whoever decided to name those with active X-Gene mutants is one of the idiotic people on the planet." I spoke.

Professor X, I'm looking at you.

"Because, new flashs, everyone on planet Earth has the X-Gene in their DNA. It's simply a matter of it activates or not that distinguishs some from others. So I don't understand why Mutants get so much simply because got the luck of the draw and unlocked a genetic potential that most humans possess? Besides if we're really being technical the Fantastic Four are mutants are well. Considering their DNA was altered as they gained their powers. But do hate groups and bigots go after them the way they do those actually classified as Mutants? No. Which isn't right on any level." I explained.

Voicing my long held opinions regarding the way Mutants are treated in Marvel.

Even though the X-Men save the word dozens of times in the comics and other Marvel media.

I mean I know in the mainstream comics it's because of Sublime, who I hope to all that is holy doesn't exist in this universe, but disregarding him the hate Mutants get is just too unreal for me.

That's why some of my future plans I've been coming up with involve making things better for them.

Like coming up with a new term to describe Mutants in general. Probably parahuman from the Worm series.

I'm not sure yet.

But what I do know is this is not a matter I will rest on.

Hearing my mini speech everyone was left stunned.

"Wow, Peter. You've given this a lot of thought." Liz spoke. "Am, are you a mutant as well?" She asked.

"I'm not." I replied.

Well not technically. Since my powers don't come from the X-Gene.

"I just don't like people getting a bad rap simply because of things out of their control." I replied.

"Same old Peter. Always sticking up for others." Harry spoke.

"Well since it's a job I'm good at I don't see why I can't keep do-"

I suddenly stopped speaking when I noticed something move towards the school, out the window, out the corner of my eye.

The others noticed it as well.

So turning in the windows direction we all moved up to it.

Where we found ourselves staring at none other Magneto, in his classic red and purple costume, floating towards us.

[Insert image of Magneto Here]

Magneto, said to have been called thee strongest Mutant in the comics, barring those with other factors like ancestry like Storm or cosmic entities like Jean Grey.

Magneto, who in X-Men '97 turned off the world entire power.

...

Fuck my luck.
