Or she had imagined that?
Lauren almost choked on her smoothie but she tried her best to act surprised despite his gaze being readily fixed on her.
He was expecting a reply but she had no idea what to say to him.
"I.."
"You don't have to say anything." He said
"As I said, we could always talk about this whenever you're ready," he said, moving his glass in a circle.
There was an uncomfortable silence for a long time and Jason almost regret having said that word.
He never intended to but those words had slipped out of his mouth before he could stop himself.
Now he said those words without thinking and he would have to deal with whatever happened next.
"I'm sorry" he offered "I shouldn't have made things uncomfortable for you"
Lauren frowned.
Is he going to take back the words he said?
"You're sorry?" She asked
