Damions POV
"ok-," I began. before i could even react, Allia rushed towards me. I could barely dodge as her ice covered claw hand nearly grazed me. Just as a was sighing with relief. Several ice shards came hurtling towards me. Immediately as i was about to be hit, the void covered my stomach. The simply vanished through it, and the dissolved away. "Your welcome," Damion 2 said in my head.
"Heh, interesting," Allia said as she began calmly walking towards me. "What was that for," i asked. i began to ask. instead of answering, Allia hugged me. "I always knew you were special." But i was about to ask her why she was doing this, but then i realized something, this was a coping mechanism.
Her rapid personality shifts were a likely effect of losing her parents. It was expected. It was the least i could do to put up with it. Her bond was defeated in the attack, and although it wasnt dead, it had been forced into a temporary dormant space. Even though i now had something that could be considered power, i was still useless against the black toad and its connections, we needed to get stronger. Allia may have been accepted by Barion, but i would need to entrance test.
I would need a way to increase my power and skills, and Damion 2 had mentioned that he could gain power by absorbing the magic of others and using his own power. His power was my power, so i that was what i would do for the months leading up the the test, then, we would travel to the academy, where i would accumulate power and connections...
"Um Damion."
"yeh?"
"ive never seen you that focused before? what are you thinking about?"
"Well um, uh" I paused for a moment. "FOOD, yes food. How shall we obtain it from now on?"
"We still have some food in the fridge, you want me to cook you something?"
"Er.. sure, thanks." i said. On the subject of food, the welx family did not have much wealth or connections, so i doubt i there was more than a few credits lying around, which means i would have to start looking for ways to earn money and soon.
