Chapter 18 - Attacking the Ambushers No. 018

As I rose up I remembered to whisper;

"May God save you".

I pulled the trigger, again and again and again, until it stopped.

I dashed to the left and ran as I re-loaded both of them were down on the post.

I raised my pistol and shot them through the flooring. 2 clips 24 rounds.

I ran and reloaded, continuing through the circle rotation. I raised it up and pointed the gun at their bodies. None of them were moving.

No twitching, nothing. I could assume they were dead, but I couldn't assume they were dead until I made sure.

I crept over to the ladder and slowly grabbed the first wrung of the ladder. I climbed up slowly, not taking my gaze off the thieves.

I climbed up and went to both of the bodies and checked them, both of them were dead, I checked their bodies for anything useful.

After 15 minutes of checking, I brought all the new stuff down, and another 3 minutes of searching I got all my empty clips for my pistol collected.

I found a lot of good loot from the bodies. Two Ak-47's and 6 clips of ammo, a total of 180 rounds plus the five I had on me.

A quick jog back to my bike and I left one Ak and my empty clips of ammo. I kept my pistol with 12 rounds and an AK with 3 clips in case I ran into trouble.

I jogged back to the observation post and found a beaten trail leading away from the road. I crouched down and followed it. I had left all of the white sheets behind as there wasn't any snow and it was a darker set of colors and regular brown clothing would be ok.

I traveled for at least a half kilometer before I saw a clearing come into view.

I went off the path and walked up to some bushes that were on the edge of the clearing. I made a hole around half a foot deep and a few feet wide and long. I pulled some branches over me lightly, trying to not make noise. I decide I would wait for a few hours to see if anyone left the cabin.

It was one story not too shabby, and well built.

I decided to wait.

I stayed there, not moving too much and watching, after the time I decided that there were no more people besides the two I had killed.

I approached the cabin slowly with my rifle moving the muzzle between the windows and door.

The cabin seemed empty as I approached the door.

With nothing else left to do I kicked down the door.
