I stared at myself in the mirror. My silver hair was my only similarity to the rest of the royal family. I didn't even have red eyes like the rest of the royal family nor pink eyes like the prophecy from the church said. The true heir was supposed to have pink eyes, not my dull black eyes. The pink-eyed heir who would save the kingdom from calamity with their magic powers. *Knock knock*
"Come in," I said, swirling around. It was Hans, the butler.
"Your highness," Hans said with a bow. "I am here to inform you that your fiancé will be late and you will meet him in 5 days in the Otherworld."
"Oh, I see," I said. "You may go." At least I would be free from that bastard for a few days.
...
I walked down the corridor to meet my father and the queen and receive the royal seal. That's when I heard bickering in their room.
"But you don't know she's the real heir!" It was the queen, probably trying to make sure I don't get to the Otherworld school. Since my father was sending me there, it meant he was declaring me the heir.
"She's turned 16! If we don't send her now, she won't be able to get the education even if she is the true heir!" Father said.
"She could never be the true heir! Her eyes aren't even-"
"Don't cross the line" my father glared at the queen. "You already sent them away. Don't meddle in her life anymore."
"Y-your majesty..."
I had to admit, it was satisfying seeing her getting scolded by father, but father was probably just doing it for the sake of the royal family and the kingdom, not me.
I entered the room and bowed. "Good morning, father, mother."
"Elora, you must have come here to get the royal seal." my father said.
"That is right, father."
"Here." He handed me a seal with the royal family coat of arms on it: two swords and roaring tiger.
"Thank you."
"Also, because of some reasons we can't provide a carriage." he told me glancing at the queen.
Of course even though he was the king, the queen probably made him do this. They were slowly taking his power, bit by bit.
