ALEXANDER'S POV
"I thought you'd never show up Mr Pearce," Nell said, with her legs crossed.
Just like we decided, Eight pm sharp. I left my office and came down to the hotel. I arrived a minute before eight. There I found Nell sitting comfortably in her sparkling black dress. I must say, she looks gorgeous in a black dress, whenever she puts it on. I planned on getting Dove a beautiful black dress once the dinner was over.
"You thought I won't show up? Don't make me laugh, Nell." I chuckled before sitting opposite Nell.
Nell scoffed and leaned her back against the chair. She placed her right hand on the table and drummed her fingers on it.
"Mr Pearce of old doesn't arrive at a meeting a minute or two minutes to a party. Looks like love has really overshadowed you lover boy," Nell teased me.
I smirked at her. Knowing exactly what she was gaining at. She's not right about my timing, but right about the changes in me. Nell was just exaggerating.
