"So who am I speaking to?" Dumbledore asked as he lowered his wand.
"I am no one, I am just the last remnant of the dark times that are never to come again" Harry answered.
"While that may be true but it still doesn't answer my question" Dumbledore retorted.
"I am sorry but that's my answer. I can't be any more explicit than that" Harry replied.
Dumbledore calmly looked at Harry for a while pondering over Harry's answers, before accepting this instead of pushing Harry for some proper answers.
Harry smiled under his hood as he watched the headmaster trying to decipher the vague and annoying answers Harry gave him. It seems petty to play with Dumbledore like this while still technically telling the truth but Harry couldn't help himself.
Since Dumbledore couldn't identify Harry he moved forward "what are you doing here?"
"Same thing as you Headmaster. I came here to prevent the stone from getting into the wrong hands. Quirrell was just an unfortunate casualty on the way even if I wasn't the one who killed him" Harry calmly answered.
Dumbledore nodded "what of the stone then? I know it was removed from the mirror."
"I did what needed to be done, I destroyed the stone" Harry spoke without missing a beat.
While most of the magical world might accept the fact that the stone can just grant eternal life but anyone who has delved into the mysteries and workings of magic clearly knows that there is no such thing. Nothing, not even magic can keep death at bay forever and any method of improving the longevity or expanding a person's lifespans always comes at a price.
The stone is no different, aside from the fact that those who drink the elixir of life lose their ability to procreate and have to regularly consume the elixir to stay alive beyond their natural lifespan. Even with the stone, a person can still only live up to 700 years and no more. And most importantly the stone can only make the elixir of life by stealing lifeforce from others.
While Nicolas Flamel did create the stone but he actually only perfected and completed the stone after killing and taking the unfinished stone from the dark wizard who destroyed countless villages in order to steal the lifeforce of hundreds maybe even thousands of muggles.
Flamel only built upon and completed the stone but destroyed the research so dark wizards won't massacre people in their futile attempts to make their own stones. Flamel and his wife were able to live this long by only relying on the life force already stored inside the stone.
While Alchemist and his wife never tried to abuse the stone by killing others just to steal their life force but same can't be said for others. In the wrong hands, the stone can cause a vast amount of death and destruction by basically being a rechargeable lifeforce battery.
So Harry destroyed the stone the first chance he got, he knows that Flamel and his wife already have enough elixir stored away to make it to their 700s.
Dumbledore looked around until he found the broken pieces of the stone lying on the floor along with the other debris and nodded.
"While I appreciate your efforts but I still can't let you go. You are far too dangerous if you can just wander into the school without me even noticing " Dumbledore spoke before bringing up his wand once more.
Harry couldn't help but laugh "Do you really think you can stop me Dumbledore?"
"I don't know but there is no harm in trying, is there?" The old wizard replied.
"Your war is over Dumbledore. The sooner you realize this the better. Now you are just a meddling old man putting his nose in things where it doesn't belong" Harry mocked.
Dumbledore brandished his wand and all the fire in the chamber condensed right in front of him forming a giant spear of fire before shooting off towards Harry.
The spear zooms towards Harry at an insane speed but he was already prepared, he twirled his wand and all the ice in the room came flying in front of him and forming a giant tiger made of solid ice. The tiger is completed just as the spear was about to hit it, the spear and tiger clashed right in front of Harry with neither side getting the upper hand. The ice tiger melted just as the spear of fire was expended trying to destroy the tiger.
"But I do have something for you Dumbledore" Harry spoke just as the headmaster was about to attack again.
Dumbledore reluctantly stopped and lowered his wand. Harry smiled and brought up his left hand making a fist. When Harry opened his hand the resurrection stone is floating in his palm.
While Dumbledore kept a straight face Harry knows that the Headmaster is beyond shocked, Harry can see that the headmaster's entire being and flow of magic is shaken with his mage sight.
"This is a gift for keeping my wand safe for all those years. We both know how the wand likes to cause chaos and destruction when it's in the hands of someone unworthy" Harry spoke as the stone slowly floated towards Dumbledore.
"But be very careful Dumbledore. When using the stone, it has a way of making death feel ever so peaceful in a way that life can never be" Harry warned as the headmaster grabbed the stone floating in front of him.
While the headmaster is distracted by the stone Harry pointed his wand at him as a blinding light exploded out of his wand. Harry timed it perfectly just as Hedwig appeared on his shoulder and flashed him out of the chamber before the light disappeared.
