A man in a white uniform came out of the NICU room. Sofia, who had been sitting languidly on a bench outside the room, rushed up to the doctor who was treating Alisa.
"What about my daughter, Doc!" said Sofia hunting down. His face looked so worried.
"The platelets in your daughter have decreased, so we are trying to get the platelets in your daughter's body back to normal soon."
"What happened to my daughter, Doc? What's wrong with my daughter?" Sofia bombarded the man in the white uniform with questions that filled her mind. The fear that had just a few moments ago haunted him.
"Your daughter has dengue fever, that's the reason her fever is too high. But, you don't have to worry because we've handled it as best we can. Mom, take it easy!" The doctor smiled at the corners of his lips.
Sofia's face looked relieved. "Thank God Doctor!" Sofia whispered.
