Chloe was a California girl. At least, that's what she told herself. She was still a midwest girl that currently lived in California, and she was very much aware of that as she stood out everywhere she went.
She didn't understand the California customs and traditions and other than palm trees and Stars in sidewalks she wasn't sure what to expect. She had a week before she started at her new job post so she spent that time finding a decent pool for laps.
Her Aunt had a pool that was mostly for show and no one had been in it in ages. Chloe would definitely use it but the odd curve of it looked great in the large backyard but didn't quite work too well for laps.
With the help of Aunt Lane's butler, or personal assistant, or whatever he was, Chloe was able to get access to a gym with a pool not too far from the house. She thanked Emmette immensely and made sure her swim gear was unpacked first.
