Chloe was enjoying herself wholly at the Christmas party with Kyle when she heard someone call out to him.
"Lautner!" A man in an expensive tuxedo with shoes shiny enough Chloe thought that she could fix her makeup in them. Riding on his arm and half a step behind him Chloe could see a short brunette in very tall shoes and very little dress. He glanced at Chloe and extended his hand. "I must say, Lautner, yours is the sexiest in the room."
"Davis, this is Chloe," Kyle said ignoring Davis's comment while Chloe turned a slight shade of pink. The dress was a bit much she thought, but everyone else was rather dressed up, so she didn't feel too out of place. "Chloe, this is Leo Davis an art curator and enthusiastic collector of-"
"All things fine!" Davis interrupted staring Chloe in the eyes as though he were looking at the juiciest cut of steak prepared just for him and kissed the back of her hand. "And you my dear, are very fine indeed."
