Chapter 19 - A Bold Blueprint

The meeting would soon commence.

A larger crowd had gathered than she'd anticipated. The remaining captains were attending, their authoritative presence accentuating the gravity of the occasion. Among the attendees, the members of the magical Parliament stood prominently just as much if not more than the captains, their discerning eyes fixed upon her every move.

Notably, Damnatio Kira's calculating gaze lingered on her as she prepared, his presence a constant reminder of the scrutiny she would most likely face.

Strategically positioned between Yami and Marx, the Wizard King took his seat, his presence casting a palpable weight over the room. Nalé couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and trepidation as she observed his deliberate choice of seating. It was a clear indication that her proposal held immense importance and that the endorsement of the Wizard King would be a deciding factor in the fate of her project.

Her anticipation heightened, knowing that the watchful eyes of the highest authority in the kingdom would closely follow her every word and action. The gravity of the situation spurred her determination to deliver a compelling and convincing presentation, hopefully earning not only the support of the Wizard King but also the respect and admiration of the rest of the attendees.

Taking a deep breath, Nalé addressed the room with a confident tone. "Good day, esteemed guests. I'm Nalé, a proud member of the Black Bulls. Today, I present to you a comprehensive plan to rejuvenate the forsaken realm, an initiative that holds the potential to strengthen the Clover Kingdom as a whole."

She paused momentarily, allowing her words to sink in before continuing. "This presentation will be divided into three sections: the 'what,' the 'why,' and the 'how.' Each segment will shed light on the significance of our endeavors and the steps required to bring about tangible change."

"The name of the project I've come to propose to you today is the Phoenix project.

This idea came about from the numerous trips and missions I've taken through the forsaken realm . Horrible housing conditions, a scarcity of food, little to no medical care, these were the conditions I witnessed as I traveled through the region. The towns there have to fend for themselves when it comes to security as well, often attacked by passing bandits and whatnot. Overall, it became evident to me the people inhabiting the Forsaken Realm receive significantly less support from the kingdom compared to their counterparts in the other realms."

Her voice grew earnest as she focused on conveying the essence of her vision. "The primary goal of this project is to provide the villages of the Forsaken Realm with the necessary resources and infrastructure to elevate their quality of life. However, its impact extends beyond mere provisions. By building roads that connect the villages, we aim to create a network that promotes the sharing of roads, exports, and talents. This unity within the Forsaken Realm will be the key to forging a stronger bond with the other realms, fortifying the Clover Kingdom as a whole."

With the room fully engaged, Nalé took a moment to scan the attendees, noting their attentiveness. Satisfied that her overview of the project had been well-received, she delved deeper into the topic at hand.

"Now that you have a general understanding," Nalé began, her voice clear and confident, "let's dive into the specifics. These are the main things that need to be done:"

Town Infrastructure and Development:

Sturdier and more spacious houses

- Defensive walls

- Community centers

- Roads

- New irrigation systems

- Better city planning

Economic Development and Opportunities:

- Job tabs and opportunities to work in other towns

- New economic development program

- Increase opportunities for work and profit for the citizens

Communication and Technology:

- A new communication system: The concept of phones | Encouraging more contact between towns

- She wants the phones the Knights use to be mass-produced (with a rechargeable stone)

Tourism and Accommodation:

- Tourist spots

- Inns in each village to accommodate tourists and travelers

Resource Acquisition and Sustainability:

- New modes of transportation for those that don't have enough magic (bicycles and more.)

- Better ways to acquire resources

- Water collector

- Storage house

With this information given to the attendees she pauses to recuperate.

"I understand this is a lot of information to take in, if there is any confusion my captain and I would be more than happy to take any questions at this time. Also, please keep in mind that we have a wide range of things we want to accomplish but we have not yet worked out the specific details concerning. That comes after the acceptance of the project, and when the professionals that will be assigned to the roles give their input on such things.

A hand rose from the crowd and Nalé nodded to the attendee, inviting the question.

"How do you plan on assigning roles for this project?"

Nalé's lips curled into a mischievous smile, and her eyes gleamed with hidden knowledge. "Ah, the roles have already been assigned," she revealed, pausing for dramatic effect. "This may not be well-known, but each member of the Black Bulls possesses unique specialties that align perfectly with the categories listed in the project. Therefore, I've entrusted them with various leadership roles."

The room erupted into an uproar. Nobles and government officials exchanged glances of disbelief and incredulity. They had envisioned seizing this opportunity to increase their own power and influence, only to find the Bulls firmly at the helm.

Damnatio Kira, unable to contain his surprise, turned to the Wizard King, Julius, seeking some explanation. "Julius, surely you didn't approve of this..." he questioned.

Julius grinned, eyes twinkling with amusement. Perhaps," he replied, his voice carrying a hint of playfulness. "The reason you were even made aware of this project is because a member of the Bulls came up with it. Yami has an uncanny knack for choosing extraordinary individuals to join his ranks. Let us witness their capabilities before we judge. Remember, they've taken on this responsibility willingly, despite their already demanding knightly duties."

Kira hummed, his otherwise stoic expression betraying a hint of skepticism as he mulled over the Wizard King's response.

As the room fell into a contemplative hush, Nalé seized the moment to press on.

"We're open to collaboration," she asserted, her voice confident and resolute. "The Bulls have plenty of knowledge and creativity to offer, as well as a unique perspective on the needs of the Forsaken Realm. We can learn so much from one another."

Her words resonated with some attendees, eliciting nods of agreement. Yet, others remained reserved, still grappling with the notion of entrusting the fate of the project to the notorious Black Bulls.

An elderly council member raised a hand, and Nalé nodded, inviting the question. "How can we be sure that the Bulls won't let their reckless behavior get in the way of progress?" he asked, his voice tinged with skepticism.

Nalé's eyes sparkled with determination. "I understand the concern, and I won't deny that the Bulls have a reputation for their unorthodox methods," she replied honestly. "But I have full faith in their dedication and willingness to change. Under the leadership of my captain and the guidance of the Wizard King, we'll ensure that their energy is channeled toward positive outcomes. This project means as much to them as it does to all of us."

As Nalé addressed each concern with poise and sincerity, she found herself gaining support from unexpected quarters. Some attendees who had initially been wary were now intrigued by the prospect of collaboration, realizing the potential benefits of pooling resources and expertise.

The room crackled with a sense of possibility as attendees exchanged glances, weighing the risks against the rewards. Slowly but surely, an atmosphere of cooperation enveloped the assembly.
