In the mid-set of the dark, there was a body lying, drowning within it. It was drowning deeper and deeper. As it was being engulfed in the world of nothingness, light escaped from its within. The light was going away from the body. As time was passing, It was getting further and further away.
His senses were coming back to him. As soon as his senses came back, he regained his consciousness from the dark. He opened his eyes slowly and started to get up. He took a moment to summarize the situation. He found himself in a house made from bamboos and straws. He wore a shirt and long pants. A necklace on his neck and a pair of sandals were under his bed.
"Who am I?", was the first question that arose within his mind.
"Where am I? I can't seem to remember anything"
Losing all of his memories as soon as he regained consciousness made him confused. He tried to remember where he was at last night and put a little more pressure on his brain, but he can't remember a single thing.
This is strange I lost my memories. Did somebody brainwash me last night?
After a few minutes, he thought of going outside the house and finding clues about himself. He put on his sandals and went outside shirtless. What he saw outside was a beautiful city with different races along with humans, all busy with their different daily schedules. It seemed like a busy and beautiful capital. He started to walk his way in search of clues of his existence. He ran his eyes around him and spotted a huge building on the north side a few kilometers away.
Let's move towards the north side and find there first. There is a huge building I can see from here.
He started to walk his way towards the north. As he was walking, there was a huge market area ahead.
This market area is so crowded. I guess this market area might be quite popular.
He can see various items being sold like clothes, utensils, accessories, cosmetics, etc. Some people were showcasing their items to be sold.
He walked his way through the crowd, enjoying the liveliness of the city.
I am feeling hungry.....GREAT. I don't have 1 coin to feed myself. Wait some people there are doing food testing to promote their store's food. Well, it is free to eat let's just eat that to satisfy my stomach for a bit.
He picked a food sample and tasted it.
??-"How do you like it, sir?"
Asking him was a girl.
"It's very tasty"
??-"If you enjoyed it, feel free to come here to our store to taste the whole dish."
"Of course I will."
He then continued to walk his way.
I have this fancy necklace on my neck. Maybe it is a very precious accessory I have.
His necklace caught an eye for him. This necklace indeed looked very precious.
Maybe this necklace is given from my parents. Whatever I should think what I should do to make money or otherwise I will end up starving. I have to make sure if that house where I woke can be used for my stay. Maybe I have to pay up rent or something or maybe it can be a house I bought.
He reached that huge building. Many people were going with a bunch of papers on their hands.
Heinberg Kingdom's Citizenship, huh. It looks like a building where all kinds of international work are done. Kingdom huh, means this place does have an emperor ruling over. And this place is called Heinberg. Okay, I Shall get more information as many as possible about this place.
He wandered around the whole north side of the city. He witnessed many different races other than humans and they talked with humans like how normal human talks to human. No discrimination there. This place was decent for any normal working individual to live. The road looked like it was newly made. For travel purposes, horse carts were being driven. It was a nice and beautiful city and the hills were visible from the city. It was now evening. The sun was setting as the sky looked yellow and red. Cool breezes were flowing which made him want to admire its beauty.
It's enough wandering around the city. I should go back to that house where I woke up. Good thing I remember where I came from.
He started to go back to the place from where he came from.
Well, I didn't notice it but I look stronger for an average person. Like I have this agile feeling within my body. Maybe I did some physical training like being a swordsman.
After walking for an hour. He reached his place.
It does look like a lodge. Maybe the owner lives in that room.
He knocked on the door and gave a call but nobody answered. He then noticed the door was open. He went inside to check but no one was inside the house.
It's strange, does nobody live here? Maybe I should check on the other door.
He then checked the doors beside the room he checked first but all were open and empty.
Okay, this is creepy. Am I the only one staying at this house. Let's check all the other doors
He checked all the other rooms but it was the same.
Okay, this is the last door left.
When he pushed the door, it was locked.
Somebody stays here
He gave a call at the door. It was silent until he heard someone's footsteps coming closer. He was getting nervous. The footsteps came closer and the door opened revealing a young woman.
