Jadon left Deanery's mansion not like before. This time, they had talked properly like two adults. When they talked to each other sincerely that morning, Jason noticed that he felt so connected to her in so many ways than one. Now he knew just the reason why she was loved by all, including the vampire king.
Deanery had this peaceful aura that she graced those around her. Talking to her made him realise what he had been missing for so long. All he did was try to be bossy.
His mate was the best thing that had happened to him. She made him feel so rested. When he was with her, he couldn't describe anything called peacefulness he had felt with her.
He left her apartment with the promise that he would be back to see her. When he was leaving, she smiled so brightly that he got confused and pushed his steps. That made her chuckle hard.
