The one occupying the southern lands was the empire of Reedalh, ruled by the Merry family.
I lived and was born in the Empire of Ver in the Gallus family, my father Recta Gallus was the current head of the family, while my mother was the king's younger sister. We were the second strongest family, in wealth, influence, power, in pretty much anything a man could think of, the first being the Aquila family.
This isn't how it always was, there's an old story about the great king Theodore Drakos, the one who ruled all known land. It was the last empire that knew peace.
