By dawn, early that morning, before daybreak, everyone at the camping site where the celestials descended had now gathered for a sacred ceremony.
It was the spiritual send-off for all the fallen comrades who died from the great dragon's attack.
All the bodies of the fallen comrades had firmed into a large heap before them, and now, with all the resources gathered, it was time to properly cremate them, so they could all go their separate ways.
It wasn't daybreak yet, so it was still very dark. Everyone, from elders to children, from the Queen to the lowest commoner, had a burning candle with them.
The custom was that as the hymns are sung, the person of the highest rank, or at least the one appointed by the person of the highest rank present at the area, would be handed a flame torch, with which all the bodies would be set ablaze, initiating the cremation process.
