"If there was an Exodus as great as you claim, do you at least have any idea where they went, or why exactly they left in the first place?" the Emperor asked Daisuke, who now seemed to have run out of information.
"I am not sure, but I would guess it would be for establishing the kingdom someplace else within the continent," Daisuke replied.
"That is odd..." the Emperor said, "and stupid." I have conquered all the known regions of the Nihonian Continent. "Who would be leading them in this foolish operation?"
"The King's daughter," Senator Daisuke replied, "is Princess Maria Watanabe." She is the one leading the Exodus as we speak.
The Emperor kept stroking his beard as he thought about it. The only thing that bothered him was that the princess was alive, as he had sworn to end the Watanabe dynasty once and for all in this war. But her escape would make his efforts to accomplish that futile, and he could not have that.
