"What?...", Rook exclaimed in disbelief, "...It can't be! "You mean to tell me that dead people are just walking out of the fabled forest?"
"Well, do you have a better explanation?" Son asked, not willing to argue about it. "Judging from the clothes they are wearing, wouldn't it be safe to say that they were once travelers and adventurers who either got lost or killed in the fabled forest?"
Rook could not argue anymore; as compared to what he was seeing, Son's theory made perfect sense, even though with common sense it was unbelievable.
"Besides," Son tried to explain as calmly as he could, "you know the sort of creatures that reside in the fabled forests, and yet you are not able to believe living corpses are among them too?"
"But fables are highly territorial and are still subject to the laws of nature," Rook still replied in disbelief, "and these creatures defy death itself, and you expect me to just accept it like that."
