It was nighttime in the Kingdom of Langford, and it was not an average night, but it wasn't below that either; it was a night of celebrations. It was a feast, the feast of victory.
It was surprising that somehow the King was able to organize such an event in the span of a few hours, as there was plenty to eat, a lot to drink, and a lot of people to meet.
Zaraki and Hirai had just arrived, and though they were a bit late on timing, they seemed to have arrived just in time, as the King was yet to declare the meeting officially open.
"Don't worry, Zaraki. "We'll have the time of our lives tonight," assured Hirai, who forced Zaraki to come.
"I hope not," replied Zaraki. "I'd just prefer having a hunk of venison with some wine, and then I'm leaving."
"Come on Zaraki," Hirai whined, "you have to get out more—you know, to events outside of operative missions, where you can meet people, socialize, and maybe meet a special someone."
