My body was in shock as Blue cupped my face gingerly while his lips rested on mine, connecting to every nerve endings that seem to respond to whatever motion he's doing.
My mind was in complete disarray with my heart fluttering a dangerous rhythm of a very familiar sensation.
Just then, after what felt like an eternity, Blue removed his lips but his face is still so close that his eye lashes would touch my forehead.
But what I noticed the most was his Blue eyes that revealed an emotion which was hard for me to decipher. However, one thing is for sure, I saw happiness in them.
He smiled. "Just as I had imagined. Your lips are so soft. I want to kiss it again." His eyes were sparkling as he said those words.
Thankfully, I was taken out of his hypnotism. Well, he didn't really hypnotize me but the effect with what he did was just like it.
"Blue, what you did is completely childish. Why did you kiss me?" I demanded furiously. But the nerve, he seemed to be amused.
"I just feel like doing it." He said thoughtfully. "And I don't regret it."
I took three deep breaths just to calm my nerves down. Because until now, I could still feel his lips over mine. My heart is just restless afterwards. "Just-just don't do it again."
"I don't think I can do that." He said.
"Mr. Sanders, if you want a more civil working relationship between a patient and a nurse, no more funny business." I said furiously, irritated with his stubbornness and the crazy feeling that dominated me.
"You wanna know the reason why?" He asked.
Then, out of curiosity, I nodded.
He faced me again and tilted my chin up and he found my eyes. "Because Darryl McKinley you are so irresistible."
I looked at him in awe. I was about to speak when someone called my name.
"Darryl."
I looked around and saw Chris standing just an arm span away. His expression was like in great pain and remorse. "Darryl, I'm sorry-"
I broke free from Blue's hold and walked a little closer to Chris.
"Not here please." I asked.
"But just hear me out. Please listen to me, it was a great misunderstanding."
Suddenly, I flared up but I composed myself before I could become violent in the hospital premises.
"A misunderstanding you say." I stated sarcastically. "Don't make a fool out of me. I know what I see and I'm not an idiot so don't treat me like one. Now please leave, I'm working." I said and turned back to Blue who was now talking to a little girl in a bandana.
If I'm not mistaken, the little girl had a cancer too. To my surprise, the anger I felt just a moment ago just dissolved to nothingness and been replaced with warmth as I saw Blue laughed with the girl giggling as he tousled her hair partially covered with a yellow bandana.
I approached them and can't help but smile. "It seems you found a new friend." I told Blue.
He looked up from his sitting position which kinda looked funny because he was wearing a hospital gown. And in his sitting position, he looks like wearing a maternity dress.
"Yeah." He said and looked back to the girl "Meet Liz. She has Leukemia too, but she's a fighter." He said.
"Are you a fighter?" He asked the little girl.
"Of course." The little girl put up a fighting stance and I laughed.
"Liz, meet nurse Darryl," He looked at my eyes. "The reason why I'm fighting."
I smiled at Liz who timidly said hi to me. But I was very aware of Blue's stare piercing through me. It makes me self-conscious. The fact that he said something that made my heart fluttered again.
Then Liz ran towards the ground with other children suffering cancer.
I felt Blue stood beside me then held me in both of my shoulders and turned me around to face him, his smiling face before me.
"Thank you." He uttered.
I looked away from his intense blue eyes. "What for?" I asked.
"For being here with me. For teaching me to live."
"What? I didn't teach you that. I didn't teach you anything." I said.
"You may not know it but you had. In fact you redeemed this." He took my right hand and put it in his chest.
I swallowed. "Don't be ridiculous."
He chuckled. "As usual Darryl. You are always in denial."
"I'm not denying anything."
"Then why are you denying what you feel?"
"What are you talking about?" I asked, a little disturbed with where the conversation is going.
"I'm talking about you needing someone to protect you, someone to lean on to, someone to love you and someone who will accept who you are."
I stared at him. Am I that easy to read? "You're out of your mind." I said instead and headed towards the bench under a tree.
I sat there and he just stood in front of me as he smiled.
"Why don't you just admit that you need me?" He said.
"What? You really are out of your mind Mr. Sanders-"
"Blue." He cut in.
"Whatever." I rolled my eyes. "Why don't you say that you need me instead? It was even you who said you need me for support in case you fall, remember? And besides, I'm your nurse."
To my dismay, his smile widens instead. "Okay." He stepped forward and stooped toward me. His face was so close that his warm breath caresses me. He then whispered. "Catch me then, because right now, I am falling." He said.
I blinked my eyes. Shit. This heart needs to get reprimanded.
"What-what are you talking about?" The heck? why am I stuttering?
"Oh, come on you know exactly what I'm talking about. You're not an idiot, right?" He mused...
He must have been listening to what I said to Chris a while ago.
"You eavesdropped?"
"It's not my fault that your voice is too loud. But I was rather thankful that you shove him away coz I would've punch him. You are not worthy to be treated that way." He clenched his jaw as he said it and sat beside me.
"He is not your concern." Then I realized. "Wait, you know? How?"
He looked at me. "I have ways Darryl, especially when it concerns you."
"Me? Why?" I asked at him. Suddenly alarmed that he seems to know everything about me.
"Darryl, you should know by now that you are special to me." Then he sighed. "Even the word special is not enough to describe how special you are."
I looked at him in awe. I can't believe it's coming from him. I can't believe someone would say something like that to me.
....
"Ah. Finally, you're here." Blue said upon seeing me entering his hospital room.
"Why is there something wrong?" I asked.
"There might be." He said, looking sideways.
"What is it?" I rushed toward him but I stopped abruptly after he spoke.
"Lock the door first." He said.
"Why would I do that?"
"Just lock the door."
"No. The doctor will be doing her rounds in..." I looked at my watch. "...20 minutes so I can't do that." I told him.
"We only need five minutes or so, depending on your skill." He said with a hint of mischief glimmering in his eyes and curving in his lips.
"Skill? What skill?" I raised my brow.
"If you wanna find out, lock the door."
"If this is one of your nonsense businesses, I swear I'll get back on you." I warned him.
I paced toward the door and locked it. "Done. Now what?" I said.
He smiled wickedly. He motioned me to sit down in an empty space on the bed beside him.
"Mr. Sanders, I'm warning you, if-"
"We only have fifteen minutes left."
"Fine." I paced toward the bed and sat beside him.
He cleared his throat. "Darryl, you're my nurse right?"
"You're the one who asked the head nurse to assign me to you." I said.
"Okay, then it is your duty to attend whatever need I have right?" He asked.
"Of course, as long as it's for the betterment of my patient."
He took my hand and pressed it lightly. "Hmm. You have soft hands, you'll do good." He said.
"Mr. Sanders, we don't have much time for such long introductions. So please tell me what you want." I pulled my hand away but he grasped it again.
He chuckled.
"Excited eh? Very well. But I do not want it, I need it."
I eyed him.
"Okay, okay. I need you to massage me." He said.
"What? Massage you? I am not a physical therapist!"
"Who said you'll be needing to become a PT to do what I had in mind?"
"Then tell me what is it so we can get done with it." I demanded.
"You understand a biological need right?" He asked still with that gleam of mischief.
"Of course, I do."
"Then massage me" and pointed on his lower torso. "there."
And then I noticed an undeniable bulge on that part.
"What?" I jumped out of bed but he didn't let go of my hand. "Definitely not Mr. Sanders. I won't do it." I said.
He looked at me. "I need you to do it." He pleaded.
"No." I said firmly and tried every might to pull my hand and I could say that he has some strength. "Mr. Sanders, let go of my hand."
"Only if you do it."
"I said no."
"You said you'll attend to my need even if it's against your will."
"But I also said that I'll do it if it's for the betterment of the patient."
"But this is for my betterment." He looked at me. His blue eyes pleading. I looked away.
"You're a male species, you understand this need as much as I do." He said. "Please Darryl."
"I understand it perfectly Mr. Sanders. But this idea is hilarious!"
"No, it's not. I promise." He pressed my hand again. "I haven't done it for three weeks now, so please?"
"Why don't you just do it yourself?"
"I want you to do it."
"Me? Why?"
He pressed my hand again. "Because I want to feel you."
"I'm sorry Mr. Sanders but what you want is impossible."
To my surprise, he stood from his bed and approached me. "What are you doing?" My mouth suddenly went dry that I have to swallow every now and then.
"I'm doing what it takes so that you'll do it." He said as he walked towards me, still not letting go of my left hand.
I stepped back. "I'm warning you Mr. Sanders, I'll call the-oh!" I wasn't able to finish the threat when he pulled me towards him and pinned me on the wall.
"You may call it harassment but I badly need you." He said huskily against my ear. "Please Darryl. Just this once."
He then looked at me in the eye.
"Mr. Sanders, that is just so gross. I cannot just do that, especially to you."
"Please?" He pressed himself to me that I'm sandwiched between him and the wall. And I really could feel him throbbing against me.
I was screaming inside. The idea is just too ridiculous.
And to my surprise, he pulled my left hand towards that part and with his hand, he guided it to stroke him against his hospital dress.
He closed his eyes and leaned his head on my shoulder. He was breathing hard.
I really don't know how to react to it. I was just engulfed with different emotions. Who wouldn't? A gorgeous man is pressing me against the wall while he's guiding my hand stroking his oh so overwhelming manhood!
Just then he slipped my hand inside his dress. How he'd done it? I have no idea because right now, I am holding a warm, pulsating 'stick.' No, correct that, I am not just holding it but stroking it as the man owning it is breathing so hard against my neck.
Then he just tensed against my body while moaning something like
"hold it tighter."
"faster."
And he licked my ear and moaned in ecstasy. He rested against me.
He was still breathing hard when he faced me. I looked away but he tilted my head back. "Thank you. It was an experience that I will never forget."
I was speechless. I can't believe what I just did. It was so humiliating. And this is against hospital rules!
He kissed the tip of my nose.
"I...I..." I trailed off.
"Come on Darryl, don't take it seriously."
I was still speechless. Just then I heard a loud knock on the door. It must be the doctor. Then I realized our position. He was still leaning at me.
"Go back to your bed." I told him.
He smiled. "There might be a problem."
"What?" I asked.
Instead of answering he looked at that part and I followed. There was still a big tent on it
"Looks like I still need round two." He mused.
