Magnus froze.
It was a simple, straight-to-the-point question that shouldn't be so difficult to answer. But it made him remember the life he had long forgotten, the one he had already left behind in the past.
"No," Magnus finally said. "Not anymore."
Kong Xiang analyzed Magnus' present cultivation. He had actually succeeded in cultivating the constellation dao path outside his Body Cultivation, so he had twin cores now.
"It didn't cross your mind at all that our agreement was going to be due soon? You are already half a foot into the Eight Stage of Body Cultivation," Kong Xiang said.
"It didn't cross my mind actually," Magnus replied honestly. "You don't have to bring anyone back, I'm fine just the way I am."
Kong Xiang secretly mused that his former Oracle had lost his pious touch, no longer addressing him with the usual appellations.
